Vernon Park Tennis Courts - Fence Improvements

Improvements to the existing chain link fence surrounding the Vernon Park Tennis Courts located on east side of Freeborn Street between Vernon Ave and Bliss Road in Newport, RI. This fence, on the west side of the courts adjacent to Freeborn Street, is mounted on top of the masonry wall and will measure approximately two hundred and twenty-seven linear feet (227’) of four foot (4’) tall fence after the southern wall opening is widened to approximately twelve feet (12’). The work Includes: 1.The removal and disposal of the existing chain link fabric ties tension bands and band clamps. 2. The existing posts, top rails and caps shall be retained and one coat of Rust-Oleum Rusty Metal Primer and two costs of Rust-Oleum flat black enamel paint shall be applied per manufacture specifications. 3. All new black vinyl fence fabric shall be installed with new heavy-duty tension bands and band clamps per the below General Specifications. 4. The installation of two new 3” OD terminal or Gate posts. 5. Providing and installing approximately ten feet (10’) feet of new top rail to connect the adjacent fences to the new gate posts.
