Description | The project entails the construction of a new entry portico and installation of new gutters and downspouts. A NYSDOT permit is required to connect the storm water drainage to the existing street catch basin. A NYSDOT PERM 33 Application must be submitted by the successful General Contractor as part of the project process. Attention is called to the provisions for Equal Employment Opportunity, minority and women-owned businesses, enterprises, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries, and wages in accordance with the applicable provision of the Labor Law of the State of New York must be paid on this project. Liquidated damages are a part of the General Conditions of the Contract for General Work Contractors. Liquidated damages of up to $100/day may be enforced for nonconformance to the specifications. The General Municipal Law of the State of New York requires that Bidders certify, under penalty of perjury, that the Bids have been prepared without collusion with the other Bidders, sub-contractors, suppliers, etc. Submitting a Proposal acknowledges the requirements described in the Instruction to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for Satisfactory Performance, Labor and Material, Payment and Maintenance Bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract within (10) days of award of the Contract as described in the Instructions to Bidders. As bid security, each proposal shall be accompanied by a bank teller's check, certified check, or Bid Bond made payable to the Owner, in accordance with the amounts (10% of the Proposal for Bond or 5% of the Proposal for Check) and terms described in the Instructions to Bidders. Town of Mexico reserve the right to waive any informality in, or to reject, any and all bids. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof without the consent of the Town of Mexico.
