Trenchless Pipe Installation and Pipe Rehabilitation Services

The project consists of cutting in a 60-inch plug valve on a 72-inch force main (NE 10 Ave and NE 159 St) and constructing a 10-inch directional drill for a permanent by-pass under the existing canal at NW 155 Terrace and NW 16 Court. The work of this project includes, but is not limited to, completing the final design for an 10-inch directional drill under the existing canal; furnishing 10" Nominal Pipe Size DR-11.0 (DIPS), PE 4710 HDPE for the canal crossing; fusing the HDPE pipe, filling with water and performing a low pressure test for the welds; constructing horizontal directional drill under the existing canal, complete; making connections to the existing 8-inch force mains on each side of the canal; furnishing and installing transition piece with stainless steel stiffeners; activating the force main installed by directional drill to allow for a by-pass of the sewage flow from North Miami Beach during the shutdown of the 72-inch force main; furnishing and installing reducers, adapters and short pipe length for the cut-in connection; deactivating the flow on the north part of the 72-inch force main cut-in connection with a line-stop; installing the 60-inch plug valve, reducers, adapters and short piece for the cut-in; constructing access manhole for the 60-inch plug valve operator; furnishing and installing 72-inch tapping saddle for the linestop; furnishing and installing tapping saddle for the pressure relief; performing the cut-in work at a low demand time acceptable to the Department; handling any leaking sewage flow; testing the cut-in installation with a visual inspection; removing the linestop and encasing saddle for corrosion protection; providing as-built record documents; milling, temporary and permanent pavement repairs, installing pavement markings and signing; and any other appurtenant and miscellaneous items and work for a complete, functional and satisfactory installation with material and methodology that will meet all requirements stated in the Performance Criteria Package. The Project is located in Sections 17, Township 52, Range 42 and Section 14, Township 52 and Range 41, Miami-Dade County, Florida. Small Business Enterprise - Construction goal is 3.00%, Small Business Enterprise - Goods goal is 0.50% which is based on the construction estimate plus the 10% Contingency Allowance. A 10% Community Workforce Program (CWP) is also applicable to this project.
