Rehabilitation of Storm Water Management Detention Facility Structure

Qualified General Contractor to construct the Rehabilitation of a portion of Storm Water Management Detention Facility Structure SP2. The structure generally consist of corrugated metal pipes (CMP) with concrete control structures and manholes with ladders for entering and exiting the facilities. The CMP is galvanized steel and is formed by helical corrugations with a continuous locked seam. Field construction joints consist of external coupling bands between pipe segments and are welded at pipe intersections. Spacing of the construction joints vary. The portion of Facility SP2 consists of one 96-inch diameter corrugated metal pipe (CMP) totaling approximately 175 linear feet and one 48-inch diameter corrugated metal outfall pipe totaling approximately 192 linear feet. Cleaning is required to remove rust, scaling, debris etc. from the facilities to prepare the surfaces for geopolymer lining. Small point repairs to fill voids and missing inverts will be required prior to geopolymer lining. Various conditions are called out on the plans, with photos; however, all conditions are not guaranteed to be captured on the plans. Once all cleaning, debris removal, and surface preparation is complete, geopolymer material shall be sprayed continuously throughout the facilities, coating the entire structure.
