Description

1. Repair parking area surfaces on the shoulder of wildlife drive by filling pot holes with a crushed limestone matrix with finer materials to aid in binding these treatments and compacting materials. 2. Repair Levees: a. Sever tree roots along wildlife drive where roots that have cause upheaves in the asphalt road . b. Install an 18 inch deep root barrier linearly along wildlife drive to prevent roots from further damaging the asphalt surface. Approximately 14,900 linear feet of root barrier is needed. c. Fill asphalt road shoulders flush to within 1” of the road surface with top soil and Seashore Paspalum Sod. Sod should be 2 feet wide from the edge of the asphalt where feasible along the road. Approximately 16,800 square feet of sod will be needed in the identified areas. d. Fill parking areas along the right side of the Wildlife drive with a crushed limestone mix stone. Compacted fill to be flush or slightly above the road grade surface. Approximately 54 cubic yards of FDOT approved crushed limestone will be used for this treatment. Crushed stone size should not be larger than 1.5” and should also contain fines to allow the proper setting of this material. e. Limitations: Work NOT to be performed under this contract include work on the water control structures, or the asphalt road and parking lot surfaces unless damaged as a result of work done for this contract.
