2022 Resurfacing Project

The work consists of, but is not limited to, the following: Provide all labor, equipment, and materials related to the resurfacing of streets for the City of Robertsdale as described herein. All roads are located in Robertsdale, Alabama. In general, the work includes, patching any potholes on subject streets, clipping of the vegetation, and removing soil along the existing edge of pavement, applying a tackcoat to the existing pavement, overlaying, and compacting the layer(s) of new asphalt material as described in Bid Specifications. The bidding contractor shall perform all work. The names of all subcontractors will be submitted to the City of Robertsdale for approval prior to beginning work. The City shall have the right to disallow any subcontractor. No proposal will be accepted after the above stated time. Bids shall not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days following the bid opening unless approved by the City. All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Engineer; the Bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying the license number on the outside of the envelope in which the Proposal is delivered. The following Contractor qualifications are required: Bids will only be accepted from experienced contractors who have successfully completed at least five (5) substantially similar or identical projects, of equal or greater capacity in the last five years. Documentation of these projects shall be provided with the bid documents. The bidder must submit proposals for unit prices. City of Robertsdale, Alabama reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities in the bidding.

Division 34 -	Transportation, Operation and Maintenance of Transportation.
