PWC Forked Run State Park Showerhouse and Storage Building Roofs

Forked Run State Park requires service for showerhouse and storage building roof replacements.See attached documents for request for quote, sample contract, and terms and conditions. Work is to be completed on or before September 30, 2022. In addition, the attached Standard Affirmation & Disclosure Form and OPERS Independent Contractor Forms are required to be submitted with the bid. If the OPERS Independent Contractor Form is not applicable, only the Standard Affirmation & Disclosure Form is required. Once a contract is awarded, failure of the bidder to have requested a site visit to become familiar with the facility and requirements of the bid will be insufficient reason to support any request to be released from the contract. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the State. Forked Run State Park requires service to replace the roofs on the Shower House #2 and Storage Building. Contractor will remove all existing roofing materials and flashing, down to the roof boards, on BOTH the Shower House #2 AND Storage Building at Forked Run State Park and collect & dispose of all debris. Contractor will upon completion perform a full sweep of the work are to ensure the cleanup of all construction debris. As these buildings are used by the general public, please put a focus on magnetic cleanup collecting all loose nails and scrap metal to avoid any potential injuries Installation: Contractor will measure and procure all material needed to install new roofs on BOTH the shower house #2 AND the storage building at Forked Run. Contractor will flash and seal all roof penetrations and install step flashing around chimneys and at all roof to wall joints. Contractor will use ice guard at gutters and in valley areas. Contractor will utilize metal in valley (no shingle overlap). Flashing, drip edge & valley metal will be matched to the shingle color. Contractor will install a full-length ridge vent on the main roof of both the shower house and the storage building. Contractor will, as needed, replace damaged roof decking and any rotten wood that would preclude the proper installation of the new roofing materials.
