Description

The project scope consists of the removal of one existing chiller, two pumps and associated hydronic piping and specialties. The new project scope consists of the installation of one new 90 ton water cooled chiller with redundant compressor, two pumps, one air separator, one pot feeder, one flow measuring station, one expansion tank, and one exhaust fan. New variable frequency drive to be integrated with existing cooling tower to allow for variable cooling tower fan speed. Existing Trane controls to be reconfigured for central plant service including integration of refrigerant detection system with break glass type pull station, strobe and NFPA 704 emergency equipment label on door. The new chiller is being pre-purchased with SFB funds by the District to meet the install deadline. Contractor is responsible for receiving, holding and installing of this chiller along with a 2 year warranty from the factory.
