Library Repainting

Notice By authority of the Board of Library Trustees, sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on September 7, 2022, by the Board of Library Trustees of the Flossmoor Public Library District for the Library Repainting. Any bids received after 2:00 p.m. will not be accepted. The project consists of the painting, wall covering removal, and moving services to repaint the first and second floor of the building. The scope includes all materials and equipment needed to complete the work. Responses shall be submitted in duplicate on or before the specified closing time in an opaque sealed envelope marked as noted within the Bidding Documents on the outside and addressed to: Jamie Paicely, Library Director, Flossmoor Public Library. Responses are to be mailed or hand delivered to the Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Avenue, Flossmoor, IL 60422. A mandatory pre-bid will be held on August 25, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at the Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Avenue, Flossmoor, IL 60422 Bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check made payable to the Board of Library Trustees, of Flossmoor Public Library equal to 10% of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, and Certificate of Insurance will be required from the successful bidder. The Board of Library Trustees of the Flossmoor Public Library reserves the right to reject any or all documents submitted or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the prequalification procedures and to approve trade contractors and vendors to bid in a manner serving the interest of the Flossmoor Public Library. All bidders must comply with the applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages, and bidders must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor and bidding, including Equal Opportunity Laws. Bidding documents which include Project Manual and Project Plans will be on file and may be obtained by bidders on August 17, 2022, after 12:00 p.m., for electronic distribution through BHFX Planroom website.
