Description | BIDS SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN A SEALED ENVELOPE ENTITLED: RFB -260 CITY HALL CLOCK TOWER RESTORATION CITY OF ELMIRA EACH BID SHALL BE ACCOMPANIED BY A DEPOSIT IN THE AMOUNT OF: Five Percent (5%) of the Total Gross Sum Bid in the form of a Bid Bond. Cash will not be accepted as a deposit. Bid deposits of all unsuccessful bidders shall be returned promptly upon execution of the contract with the successful bidder. Foor, AIA 111 North Main Street Elmira, New York 14901 Ph: 607-733-4613 x 203 Cell: 607-426-0179 E-mail: lfoor@foorassocs.com Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirement that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of the individual's age, race, creed, color, national origin, sexual orientation, military status, sex, disability, predisposing genetic characteristics, marital status or domestic violence victim status. This project has a 5% DBE participation requirement; we also encourage W-MBE participation. Funding for this project comes in part through an Environmental Protection Fund grant administered by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP). Under Article 15A, Executive Law, the State of New York is committed to providing Minority and Women Owned Business (MWBE) equal opportunity to participate in government contracts. The following goals have been set for this project: 13% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and 17% Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE). The selected bidder must submit a Grants MWBE Utilization Plan, Contractor's Solicitation Log and documentation that NYS Certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) were contacted during preparation of said bid. Prior to the award of a contract to the selected bidder; review and acceptance of the bid summary and all MWBE documentation by State Parks is required." Each bidder submitting a Bid to the Owner shall execute and attach thereto, the Certification regarding Equal Employment Opportunity. Although the Bidder is not required to attach such Certification by proposed subcontractors to his Bid, the Bidder is here advised of this requirement so that appropriate action can be taken to prevent subsequent delay in sub-contract awards. Also, be advised that Statement of Compliance with Section 3, Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 is now mandatory with new procedure regarding Equal Opportunity (11246) in bid condition areas. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Clock Tower Restoration. Construction includes, Masonry, Brick, Repointing, Terra Cotta Replacement & Sealing, Roofing, Painting, Copper Soldering/Sealing & Paint Replacement |
