Aluminum Soffit for Canopy at Fire Station 1

To install aluminum soffit on the apparatus bay overhang at Fire Station #1 located at 801 Federal Ave. Saginaw, Michigan 48607. 1. Build out a framing grid using 2” x 4” boards for support and a place to attach the aluminum soffit. Finished soft shall be level with the bottom of the fascia. 2. Provide and install the proper channel used for the installation of the soffit. Channel shall be the same color as the soffit. The channel will be used where the soffit is connected to the building. 3. The aluminum soffit shall be brown Quality Edge aluminum soffit. 4. Provide and install the soffit. The soffit lengths shall be installed as one piece, splicing a length of soffit will not be acceptable. 5. The aluminum soffit, once installed will be attached to radius of the canopy and finished using PVC trim painted to match the existing PVC fascia to cover where the soffit is connected. 6. Hardware used to attach the soffit shall be of the same color and material. 7. Caulk and seal all gaps, joints, etc. As necessary, (using same color material). 8. Contractor will remove all debris generated by the project. 9. Contractor will have to coordinate work with the Fire personnel on duty to allow the ability to respond to emergency incidents as needed. 10.Contractor will notify Battalion Chief Tom Raines at least 48 hours in advance of any work starting. 11.Construction debris shall be cleaned up daily.
