| Description | Fire systems contractors for material, equipment and labor as required for the fire sprinkler system located at the Bellemeade Street Parking Deck at 220 North Greene Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. Replacement of all existing 4-inch and 6-inch pipe in the parking deck and all 2.5-inch hose valves. The work will be based on replacing the pipe back to the fire pump wall on level 1 of the deck. The 21-foot section of pipe that runs from the deck area into the electrical room and then into the fire pump room should be replaced with one continuous section of piping. The bid will exclude any work in the fire pump room or to any existing riser in the pump room, with the exception of the afore mentioned 21-foot section of pipe that runs in the fire pump room The new installed pipe will be galvanized, 4-inch and 6-inch (to match existing size), schedule 10 pipe, 21-feet in length. The bid will include new galvanized nipples and weld-lets or new standard 4 x 2.5-inch mechanical tees to reconnect the new valves at the same location. The bid should be based on providing and installing new brass 2.5-inch hose valves with cap chains for all three standpipes from level 1 thru level 8 of the parking deck. These should be installed at the same location as the existing valves. This will include the new 4-inch and 6-inch standard grooved couplings and fittings. | ||||
