For Special Inspection and Testing Services for the Construction and Renovations for New Police Station at 100 Barnes Road The project consists of the demolition of existing partitions, portions of the 39,000 SF +/- raised floor, outdated utility infrastructure, and selected pavement. The construction includes but is not limited to the following areas: lobby, administrative, public interview, detective, traffic, community policing, evidence, communications, dispatch, training, SWAT, booking, jail cells, toilet facilities and all appurtenant structural, lighting, signage, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, emergency generator, security and telecommunications infrastructure. Site improvements include grading, drainage, soil erosion control and landscaping for a modern police headquarters. A Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond in the amount stated on the contract proposal, made payable to the "Treasurer, Town of Wallingford", must be submitted with each bid, as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded, the bidder will execute such contract and furnish satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Bond if required. Unsuccessful bidders shall be entitled to return of surety where the Agent has required bid deposits. A successful bidder shall forfeit any surety required by the Agent upon failure on his part to enter into a contract within ten (10) days after being notified of the award.
