Description | The scope of work is contained in the bid documents. This project will be bid on a lump sum basis for all specified work and will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The City of Albany strongly encourages Small Business firms to participate in this bid. The City of Albany reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process. All corporations should provide the corporate seal, a copy of the Secretary of State Certificate of Incorporation, and a listing of the principals of the corporation with bid. Bid documents, specifications and plans may be inspected at the Procurement Office, 222 Pine Avenue, Suite 260, Albany, Georgia and on the Georgia Procurement Registry. The deadline for questions is October 25, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. The contractor is required within five (5) days of completion of specified work to contact the Project Manager, William "Bill" Holloway at 229-809-6742 for a final inspection. Scope of work: 1. Demo existing electrical in well house once power company disconnects service. 2. Install a 600-amp outdoor disconnect provided by the City of Albany. 3. Install a 15 KVA transformer and low voltage sub panel 4. Replace all lighting with new LED fixtures. 5. Replace all conduit with PVC. Rewire all lights and receptacles per code, motors, heaters, fans. 6. Install a 125Amp Panel 7. Install Emergency Lighting per the schematic. 8. Install new PVC from building disconnect to transformer. 9. Properly dispose of all material after demo. 10. All work must meet or exceed the National Electrical Code. 11. Manufacture's literature: Manufacture's recommendation installation instruction, product warranty information and safety data sheets will be provided by the successful bidder to the project manager. 12. The contractor shall provide all warranty paperwork at the completion of the project. 13. Labor warranty shall be 30 days. 14. All materials shall have minimum warranties equal to industry standards. General: The work to be done is at 2402 Dawson Road in Albany, Georgia described as Well 18 Electrical. This is for the repair/replacement of the electrical components per the 2020 NFPA 70 (NEC 2020) current Georgia State Minimum Standard Electrical Code effective January 1, 2021, the electrical diagram provided is a general guideline and does not negate the previous mentioned code. The contractor is responsible for all permits. The contractor shall keep the work area and adjacent areas clean at all times. Clean up operations shall be conducted on a consistent basis. The contractor shall conduct the construction operations with the appropriate level of care to ensure the safety of the public utilizing the facility. Employees of the contractor and any subcontractors shall be cognizant of the fact that the project is in a residential/commercial area and conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. |
