Description | **As of June 16, 2022, project was awarded to Garrett Paving Company , awarded amount is $233,397.51** **As of June 7, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** This project consists of 1.48 miles of resurfacing, patching, crack fill, striping and milling of various city streets. All bidders must submit with bid, a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. Failure to submit a bid bond with the proper rating will result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. Successful bidder will be required to meet insurance requirements, submit a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond and a one hundred ten percent (110%) payment bond. Insurance and Bonding Company must be licensed to do business by the Georgia Secretary of State, authorized to do business in Georgia by The Georgia Insurance Department, listed in the Department of Treasury's Publication of Companies holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Surety on Federal Bonds and as acceptable reinsuring companies. The bid bond, payment bond, and performance bond must have an A.M. Best rating of A-5 or higher. The Bidder is advised that the governing specifications for this project including such items as bidding requirements, general conditions, technical specifications, and related items shall be in accordance with the State of Georgia, Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2013 Edition, Georgia Department of Transportation Supplemental Specifications Book, 2016 Edition, and applicable Special Provisions and supplemental specification apply to this contract. The applicable GDOT specifications govern over any conflicting requirements that may be found in the Agreement, Supplemental General Provisions, and General Conditions. All questions must be in writing, and submitted no later than Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder per the base bid amount and any alternatives selected by the City of Lilburn. City of Lilburn reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award as deemed in its best interest. Where City of Lilburn provides forms for bid schedule and bond submissions, these forms must be used without exception. The City of Lilburn in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d-42 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, part 21, Nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. |
