Description

BIDS SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN A SEALED ENVELOPE ENTITLED: Commercial Business District Wastewater System The Wastewater Collection & Treatment System Project includes but not limited to the following Work: Wastewater Collection System o 1503 LF of 8-inch diameter Sanitary Sewer pipeline o 750 LF of 6-inch diameter Sanitary Sewer pipeline o 250 LF of 2-inch diameter Forcemains o 2500 LF of 3-inch diameter Forcemains o Installation of two Individual User Pump (E-one) and a Lift Pump (Liberty Pump). o Pavement, Lawn, and Sidewalk Restoration Wastewater Treatment System o Construction of Eljen chamber o Installation of Dosing Station and Vault Box o Installation of 10,000 & 6,500 gallon Septic Tank o 875 LF of 2-inch diameter Forcemains o 4800 LF of 2-inch diameter Distribution Line o 4800 LF of 4-inch diameter Perforated Line o Pavement, and Lawn Restoration EACH BID SHALL BE ACCOMPANIED BY A DEPOSIT IN THE AMOUNT OF: Five Percent (5%) of the Total Gross Sum Bid in the form of a Bid Bond. Cash will not be accepted as a deposit. Bid deposits of all unsuccessful bidders shall be returned promptly upon execution of the contract with the successful bidder. Additional Doc Acq. Note - Bidding Documents may be viewed online by registering with the Issuing Office at Bidding@FaganEngineers.com. Following registration, a link will be sent to download complete sets of Bidding Documents the Issuing Office's website as "zipped" portable document format (PDF) files. There are no fees or charges associated with downloading the Bidding Documents. Note: registering with the Issuing Office is mandatory to assure notice of any addendums. Printed Bidding Documents may be shipped by the Issuing Office for a separate nonrefundable payment of $50.00. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of two separate payments ($50.00 document refundable fee and $50 non-refundable shipping fee), printed Bidding Documents will be sent via next day delivery service through the U.S. Postal Service. o If the prospective Bidder provides a customer number for a specified delivery company (such as Fed Ex, or UPS), then upon receipt of the $100.00 document fee the Issuing Office will deliver the printed Bidding Documents via the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder (shipping charges billed to the prospective Bidder's account). Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the office hours (8 AM - 5 PM) by appointment only. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on compact disc will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. Instructions to Bidders. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. American Iron and Steel Section 7 46 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. Please take notice: o Bids received via facsimile or electronically will not be considered. o Bids must be made upon and in accordance with the Bid Documents including bid form supplements. o Bids must be submitted in duplicate (one original and one exact copy). o Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work, refer to the bid form supplements. o The Village of Hammondsport reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids submitted and to waive any informality. o All questions shall be directed in writing to Fagan Engineers & Land Surveyors, 113 East Chemung Place, Elmira, NY 14904, James B.
