Description

A The Name of the Project is "Mill Creek Sink Water Quality Improvement Project" as described more completely in the 100% Construction Documents attached hereto and incorporated as Exhibit A. This project is to construct a stormwater management system to provide additional treatment for runoff flowing into Mill Creek Sink. The stormwater system will consist of three lined conveyance swales, two pre-treatment basins and a treatment wetland basin designed to collect runoff from existing drainage structures. The City of Alachua (OWNER) hired Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (ENGINEER) to conduct the hydrologic modeling and design of the project. The primary objective of this project is to reduce nitrogen loading to the Santa Fe River Basin, which is listed as impaired for nitrate-nitrogen by the state of Florida. The project is also intended to remove other pollutants such as heavy metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and suspended solids. B Contractor shall furnish all necessary equipment, supervision, labor, materials, tools, and incidentals necessary to complete the Work as specified in the Contract Documents.
