Description | Construct a new Fire Training Facility for the City of Johnson City. Building structural system and roof is pre-engineered building system. General construction includes concrete slab, metal siding and brickwork, steel studs and gypsum board and all related finishes, plumbing, HVAC, electrical/communications, and fire protection systems. Extensive site work is included. Bidders shall submit questions about the bidding documents to the Designer in writing. Replies will be issued to all Bidders of Record by addenda and will become a part of the Contract Documents. The Designer or the Owner will not make oral clarifications. Questions must be received by the Designer at least six calendar days before the bid opening date. No addenda will be issued less than three calendar days before the Bid opening date. The Conditions for liquidated damages are established in the Supplementary Conditions. The amount of the liquidated damages and time for completion are as identified in the Bid Form. Bidders shall be familiar with the Contractors Licensing Act of 1994, as currently amended. This law is codified in Tennessee Code Annotated Sections 62-6-101, et seq. A contract will not be awarded to any bidder whose bid is in conflict with state licensing law. Bids shall be made on an unaltered bid form furnished by the Designer. This form is duplicated in the Project Manual and will be issued by the Designer for use in the Contractor's Bid Pack. Submit one Bid Form. Fill in all blank spaces on Bid Form; failure to do so may be cause for rejection A bidder may not withdraw a bid submitted until a period of sixty (60) days has elapsed from the time of the opening of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid or bids that are judged to be in the best interest of the Owner. |
