Description

The CAWCD is seeking a qualified Design-Build Contractor to provide design-build services for the design and construction of the PLC-5 Replacement Project located at the Waddell Pumping/Generating Plant (WAD) located in Peoria, Arizona. The Waddell Pumping/Generating Plant is controlled from a plant Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and a separate SCADA at CAWCD Headquarters. The control system at the plant consists primarily of Allen Bradley PLC-5 Programmable Logic Controllers though some migration to Control Logix PLCs has already occurred. This project will complete the migration from the PLC5 platform to the ControlLogix platform. The CAWCD anticipates a start date for design and pre-construction activities starting in June 2020. The CAWCD anticipates a start date for construction activities starting on about January 2021. The construction project schedule shall be for a period of time no greater than 20 months from the Notice to Proceed date.
