Description | As of March 7, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Plans call for life safety work at six district schools. Bids shall be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope clearly marked as SEALED BID and addressed to: Lucero Moreno, Assistant Superintendent for Business Services Cook County School District 130 12300 S. Greenwood Ave. Blue Island, IL 60406 The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or Parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all contractors working on public works. Each bidder must satisfactorily complete the qualification process described in Section 01000-General Requirements of the Project Manual, by providing the required Qualification Documents. The required Qualification Documents must be delivered along with the Bidder's sealed bid at the same time and place required for the bid. Contents of each Bidder's Qualification Documents will be available for public review. The Qualification Documents will be reviewed by the Owner and Architect to determine the lowest responsible Bidder. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 00030 - 1 COOK COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT 130 PROJ. NO. 21091 2023 LIFE SAFETY ALTERATIONS attendance can be grounds for rejection of bid. Subcontractors are encouraged, but not required to attend. Addendum #1-#2 have been issued as of 7-28-2022. A scope meeting with the apparent low Bidder/Bidders will be held after the bid opening, personnel knowledge about the project scope will be require to be available by phone after 12:00pm and by Zoom Video Communication to discuss the project scope. Post-bid interview times are as tentatively scheduled as follows:a. Apparent Low Bidder: August 3, 2022, 1:30pm - 2:30pm and will be conducted remotely via Zoom Video Conferencing.b. Apparent Second Low Bidder: 12:00pm - 1:00pm and will be conducted remotely via Zoom Video Conferencing. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
