Description

Using a design-build procurement method to reconstruct and widen a section of Mound Road between I-696 and M-59. The project is located in the Cities of Warren and Sterling Heights, Macomb County. The project will reconstruct approximately nine miles of Mound Road between I-696 and M-59, add a fourth lane in each direction from 17 Mile to M-59, and includes new pavement, drainage, curbs and driveways, signal optimization, roadway widening, and connected vehicle and fiber optic communications technology, enhanced non-motorized facilities and energy-efficient lighting.
