Description | Phase 1 Water Transmission Main Improvements DWSRF #6978 includes installing cement lined ductile iron water mains on Argilla Road and Andover Street to replace existing cast iron water mains, valves, hydrants, and water services; and all materials and equipment, services and construction inherent to the Work. The Work shall be substantially complete by 08/31/2024 and completed and ready for final payment by 09/31/2024. Project Funding: in part through Drinking State Revolving Fund (SRF) & Massachusetts Clean Water Trust. Compliance required with: EPA, MassDEP/DMS provisions & policies, Davis-Bacon Act & wage requirements, & AIS/BABA Act. Certified DBE participation goals: minimum 4.20% D/MBE & 4.50% D/WBE applicable to total dollars paid under resulting contract. A bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid will be required. Upon award, a Payment Bond and Performance Bond both in the amount equal to 100 percent of the total amount of the Bid with a surety company satisfactory to the Town, as surety, will be required for the payment for all labor and materials used in the Work. Such bond shall be prepared on forms provided by the Owner and supplied by a surety company licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
