South Water Treatment Plant Concentrate and Raw Water Line Modifications Project

For the South Water Treatment Plant Concentrate and Raw Water Line Modifications Project. All bids must include a Bid Guaranty, as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the opening; the City of Lancaster, Ohio reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and conduct necessary investigations to determine bidder responsibility. This is a State of Ohio prevailing wage rate project. The Project also includes Minority Business/Women Business Enterprise goals as set forth in the Contract Documents. The Work is located at the South Water Treatment Plant, located at 4600 Sugar Grove Road SE, Lancaster, Ohio, 43130. The work is also located west of the intersection of Canal Street and South Maple Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. a. Existing pig launching station improvements located at South Water Treatment Plant. b. Installation of 14 inch ductile iron bypass pipe from the pigging station to the storage lagoon. c. Construction of a new pigging station adjacent to the existing force main outlet located near the intersection of Canal Street and S Maple Street. d. Construction of a 12 inch ductile iron pipeline that taps into the existing 24 inch waterline along Canal Street. e. Removal of existing HDPE 14 inch concentrate force main and replace with 14 inch ductile iron pipe and install underground precast vaults. f. Removal and replacement of existing force main outlet structure. g. Removal of existing sanitary sewer pipe connection from force main outlet to existing structure and replace with 18 inch PVC pipe. h. Cleaning of the concentrate force main via pigging with the direction of flow being from the pig launching station at Canal and Maple Streets to the lagoon at the South Water Treatment Plant.
