Greenwich High School (GHS) Synthetic Turf Fields 6 and 7 Replacement

This project involves the removal and disposal of the existing synthetic turf system (infill, carpet and pad underlayment) of the existing synthetic turf fields at Greenwich High School. The existing perimeter chain link fence fabric and rails will be removed and disposed of. The existing chain link fence posts are to remain. The perimeter concrete turf anchor curb will be retro fit with a new concrete riser to permit the raising of the field elevation. New chain link fence posts will be sleeved over the existing fence posts and new chain link rails and fabric will be installed. Existing base stone will be removed and replaced with new free draining stone for a 6” depth over the three existing collector pipes. The synthetic turf field base will be covered with an engineered cap consisting of geotextile fabric, orange snow fence demarcation layer, 6” of free draining stone base, a shock/drainage pad, and synthetic turf carpet with infill. Ball safety netting systems will be installed behind goal areas.
