Description

The 183d Wing Base Contracting Office intends to issue a Request for Quote to award a single firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and non-personal services necessary to repair the cracked concrete column on the first floor of Building 1 at the 183d Wing. In 2016, contractors, corrected foundation settlement issues in the corner of the main hangar. The facility was originally constructed in 1950 and is reinforced concrete with masonry infills. There is now a noticeable crack where the concrete corner columns meets the beams in the first floor tool room. Contractor will need to design temporary shoring based on building loads that are sealed by a licensed structural engineer, demolish the damaged section of concrete and inspect the existing rebar, and replace demolished concrete and paint damaged/new surfaces to match surrounding area.
