Description | A new force main for the Main Street Lift Station and the Jefferson Street Lift Station. The Main Street Station force main is approximately 370 feet and crosses under Main Street as well as the Blue River before discharging to a manhole on the west side of the river. The Jefferson Street Lift Station force main is approximately 2,100 feet long and is to be located mostly along Jefferson Street. BID SECURITY: Bid Security in the amount of not less than 5% of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive informalities in bidding, or to accept the Bid or Bids, which best serves the interests of the Owner. A new force main for the Main Street Lift Station and the Jefferson Street Lift Station. The Main Street Station force main is approximately 370 feet and crosses under Main Street as well as the Blue River before discharging to a manhole on the west side of the river. The Jefferson Street Lift Station force main is approximately 2,100 feet long and is to be located mostly along Jefferson Street. Pumps at the stations will be replaced as well. The Jefferson Street Lift Station is to receive a new storm water pump. The pump is to also to receive a VFD to be integrated into the station so that the pump output can be adjusted if needed. The Main Street Lift Station will have the storm water pump replaced as well as both smaller dry weather pumps. The pump replacement is to be completed as part of a turn-key package that includes the pumps, piping and valve modifications, electrical work, VFD, and construction to implement these improvements Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening for Bids may not be answered. |
