2023 Pavement Resurfacing Project

For 2023 Pavement Resurfacing Project The City of Auburn is accepting written proposals for the Capital Investment and Purchasing Department's 2023 Pavement Resurfacing Project. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals in whole or in part and to waive any informality the City may determine necessary. The City also reserves to itself the exclusive right to accept any proposal when it is deemed by the City to be in its best interest. The City of Auburn is governed by Title 1 M.R.S.A. 401-410, otherwise known as the Freedom of Information Act, which considers bid specifications as public documents. In awarding any proposal, the City may consider, but not be limited to, any of the following factors: Bidder qualifications, price, experience, financial standing with the City, warranties, references, bonding, delivery date, and service of Bidder. Vendors/Contractors shall be current on all amounts due to the City of Auburn prior to the City entering into any contract agreement. All proposals must include FOB to Auburn, Maine unless otherwise specified. The following scope of work is being proposed for the 2023 Pavement Resurfacing Project for the City of Auburn. The scope of work is a brief overview of the expected extent of work on each street included in this contract. This is only a proposed scope with associated estimated quantities. Items, extent and entire streets may be added or deleted as work progresses or to meet the available funding for this work. Shim and Overlay Existing Pavement Surface The following locations will be shimmed with 9.5mm HMA and overlaid with approximately 1.5" of 12.5mm HMA. Butt joints will be ground at intersecting streets and driveway openings where applicable. Striping and gravel shoulders will be included in this contract. Marston Hill Road - North Auburn Road to Minot town line (approx. 23' x 1,300') Brighton Hill Road- Marston Hill Road to Minot town line (approx. 23' x 5,300')
