Village Hall Parking Lot Improvements

The proposed work consists of constructing a new HMA parking lot at the Hamel Village Hall and related appurtenances. Bids that are furnished by mail shall be addressed to the Village Clerk, Village of Hamel, 111 South Old US Route 66, P.O. Box 345, Hamel, Illinois 62046. Plans, specifications and contract documents may be examined and obtained at the office of the Engineer at following location: Juneau Associates, Inc., P.C. 2100 State Street, P.O. Box 1325 Granite City, IL 62040 Copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained by prime contractors at no cost. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days of the scheduled time of closing bids. All bids must be made on forms furnished by the Village of Hamel. The successful bidder will be required to execute and present performance and payment bonds in a sum equal to the full amount of the contract. Bids must be for the contract as a whole. Illinois law requires that contractors pay the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Department of Labor. The Village of Hamel reserves the right to waive, of not to waive, any irregularities in the bids and to reject any or all bids and to determine which is the lowest and best bid.
