Description | NOTICE INVITING BIDS Notice is hereby given that the governing board of the Contra Costa will receive sealed bids for the following project, Electrical Infrastructure Hardening Phase 1. The Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary, but not limited to: new concrete pads for electrical equipment, removal and replacement of existing Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), Electrical Panel C, three (3) Transformers, and to provide temporary power during switch over of critical equipment as determined by Owner. The ATS, Panel C, and Transformers are Owner Furnished Contractor Installed. Bid Documents and Contract Documents for the Project are available as of October 28, 2022 from the District's Construction Manager, RGM Kramer, Inc. 925.671.7717, to Starbrina Times at starbrinat@rgmkramer.com, and copy Eric Scheuermann at erics@rgmkramer.com. Sealed Bids will be received until 2:00 pm. of the 15th day of November 2022, at the Contra Costa County Office of Education, 77 Santa Barbara Rd., Pleasant Hill, California 94523 at or after which time the bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. All bids shall be on the form provided by the COE and must be responsive. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations and to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: C-10 Electrical Contractor. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held on November 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Contra Costa County Office of Education, 77 Santa Barbara Rd., Pleasant Hill, California 94523. All participants are required to sign-in. Failure to attend or tardiness will render bid ineligible. The Site Visit Certification will be provided at the end of the Site Visit and must be submitted with the Bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the COE to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The successful Bidder shall comply with all requirements of Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1, of the Labor Code and Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. For all work performed pursuant to this Contract, the Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay all workers not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, ("DIR") for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the COE, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. Prevailing wage rates are also available from the COE or the DIR website at electronically. This Project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. The Bidder and all Subcontractors under the Bidder shall comply with applicable federal, State, and local requirements relating to COVID-19 or other public health emergency/epidemic/pandemic including, if required, preparing, posting, and implementing a Social Distancing Protocol. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. |
