Soldiers Field Drive Extension and First Colony Blvd Roundabout

The Soldiers Field Extension to SH6 and First Colony Roundabout project will involve constructing: A right turn lane on SH6 onto the proposed Soldiers Field Extension. Removal of the existing Soldiers Field Cul-De-Sac. Construct approximately 1,000 LF of 2-lane roadway from the existing Cul-De-Sac to SH6 Construct a two lane roundabout at the intersection of Soldiers Field and First Colony Blvd. Water line, storm and Sanitary Sewer improvements within the project limits. The City does not assume responsibility for not receiving questions from the Bidder or the Bidders' receipt of any answers, addenda, or amendment The selected bidder(s) will be required to enter into the city of sugar land standard contract for civil engineering construction projects and provide and maintain the minimum insurance coverages required under the contract. The contract is available as an attachment to this itb The City Council will award the contract as provided in the Invitation to Bid. The City of Sugar Land will give notice of the contract award within sixty (60) calendar days after the opening date and time. Estimated project cost w/o alternate items is 2.83M & estimated project cost w/ alternate items is 2.99M LOCATION OF WORK: Soldiers Field Drive at First Colony Blvd, Sugar Land, Texas 77479 An operation, once started, is to be carried through to completion. The project inspector shall be provided ample opportunity to inspect all lines before backfilling. Contractor shall maintain and provide adequate ingress-egress for traveling public during construction operations and overnight. The Contractor shall be responsible for the safety of himself, his employees, and other persons affected by his work during construction.
