C1da--Construct Entry Canopies at Building 2, Building 21, Building 42, and The Parking Garage - A/E Design

The project will include the review of previous design drawings for the canopy at the parking garage and any updates / alternate options required to update the project for construction as well as new construction documents for the remainder of the buildings. The project is to construct entry canopies at Buildings 2, 21, and 42, as well as at the parking garage located outside of Building 3. These canopies will need to be non-combustible canopies over the entrances and shall extend 600 mm (2 feet) beyond the curb lines to protect patients from inclement weather. Maintain soffits under portions of the canopies over truck and public bus traffic areas at a height which will provide 4.2 m (14 ft.) minimum head room. Maintain a grade either side of the passageway to provide the required head room for the longest wheelbase trailer permitted by the state. This project will create a new design package for the construction of the canopies. Prior design drawings for the parking garage canopy will be provided for review and consideration in schematic design. A design charrette to be conducted with three (3) options per building. A schematic design review with options for canopies is required for selection.
