Description | As of August 16, 2022, a design firm has been selected for the project. Construction is estimated to take place in summer of 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Scottsdale, Arizona ("City") is accepting Statements of Qualifications ("SOQ") from qualified professional firms to provide design services for the Scottsdale Road - Jomax Road to Dixileta Drive Project. The objective of this contract is to develop a set of plans, specifications, cost estimation and other contract documents so that the city can solicit for bid advertisement. This project will complete a two-mile segment of Scottsdale Road from Jomax Road to Dixileta Drive to the ultimate rural minor arterial cross section including the major intersections with landscaped medians, bike lanes, sidewalks and trails to improve safety, capacity and accessibility for motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians. This project will include the design of: 8-foot wide separated sidewalk on the west side 10-foot multi use path or 8-foot trail on the east side Evaluation of a potential multilane roundabout at the intersection of Dynamite Boulevard. If feasible, provide final design High intensity activated crosswalk (HAWK) crossing at Pinnacle Vista Drive 110-foot of right of way (targeted) Elimination of all wet crossings All design documents must be prepared following current federal guidelines as the construction funding includes a Surface Transportation Block Grant Program (STBGP) grant from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
