Description

Water Reclamation Wyman Pump Station Flood Mitigation PROJECT DESCRIPTION a. SCOPE OF WORK: This project consists of raising up all water access pointing into the Wyman Pump Station. This will incudes but not limited to the following items. Landscape repairs and electrical work will be done by the City of Midland staff. b. PART A: i. Removal and salvage of existing hatch door to be reinstalled later. ii. Remove 6" concrete cap iii. Extend structure 16" with CMU and brick veneer iv. Install new 6" concrete cap to match existing v. Install salvage hatch door c. PART B: i. Removal and disposal of existing hatch door ii. Remove 6" concrete cap iii. Remove existing exterior stairs and foundation iv. Extend structure 16" with CMU and brick veneer 1. Infill existing vents on upper section 2. Add new venting on upper section equal to what was infilled v. Extend the existing access structure to allow for additional stair treads inside the structure vi. Install new 6" concrete cap to match existing vii. Furnish and install new hatch door a minimum of 5'-0" x 10'-0" similar to Dur-Red Products Equipment Hatch-Model EH viii. Furnish and install new handrails for concrete steps on both the interior and exterior d. PART C: i. Raise up all venting so openings of the vent are equal to the top of the hatch on part A after it has been raised up. e. EXTEND OF WORK: i. Provide all labor, material, permits, bonds, tools, equipment, disposal of waste materials and supervision necessary to complete the Water Reclamation - Wyman Pump Station Flood Mitigation project. ii. The contractor shall be fully knowledgeable of all requirements of the contract and shall make themselves aware of al job site conditions that will affect their work. iii. The contractor shall confirm all given information and advice the building owner, prior to bid, of any conflicts that will affect their cost proposal. A certified check or bid bond for a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Proposal will be required with each bid. The City reserves the right to accept or reject all or any parts of any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to award in the best interests of the City of Midland.
