Paving & Engine Room

1) Contractor to demo and remove/haul the following: a) 400 lf of 18” curb b) 8,000 sf of 6” asphalt pavement and 6” base/subbase material c) 550 sf of landscaping and spoils 2) Replace all asphalt with 6” stone base and 8" reinforced concrete pavement back to existing grade. Concrete curb to be reinstalled per Figure 1. New paving is to be flush with the east and south side of the Firehouse. 3) Expand southeast parking area as shown on Figure 1. Orientation of revised parking to be finalized upon in field verification of nearby utilities. 4) Furnish and install (2) concrete filled embedded bollards for mechanical units at northeast corner of building. 5) Install new 7’-0” x 3’-6” x 6” equipment pad under existing mechanical units. 6) Remove flagpole and foundation from southeast corner of building. Install new flagpole and foundation southwest near concrete steps. 7) Demo 140 lf of existing retaining wall. New 140 lf retaining wall to be installed 2’-0” east of existing wall per detail 1. Contractor to provide shoring and hauling as required. 8) Expand east driving alley to face of new retaining wall (Approximately 1'-6" to 2'-0")
