Description

Scope of work includes renovations of approximately 6,300 square feet of the usable academic space within the Lower Level of Davis Hall. There is direct handicapped access from lower floor level to parking and outdoor areas for staging. For the duration of the project, the entire floor will be closed to faculty and students. SCSU facilities will require access to maintenance support areas during duration of work. Work will include demolition and construction of new walls, finishes, lighting, data, and HVAC systems & controls as indicted within the construction documents. Mechanical subcontractor to coordinate with Automated Logic who will have a separate Purchase Order for the direct digital control system work. To integrate areas of new construction with existing areas to remain, the hardware and keying of entire floor will be addressed and replaced as required per construction document's door and hardware schedules. For proper identification, bidders are asked to note the bid number and project name on the subject line of the e-mail. Bid results will be posted electronically as soon as practicable. In accordance with C.G.S. 46a-68c, the successful qualified low bidder on this project shall submit an Affirmative Action Plan if the value of the project exceeds $50,000.00 or more. The plan must be filed within thirty (30) days after a bid has been accepted by an awarding agency. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive defects in same if it is deemed in the best interest of Southern Connecticut State University.
