Description

Approximate quantities are as follows: HMA Asphalt Paving 19,500 Tons Tack Coat 4500 Gallons Pulverize and Relay Asphaltic Pavement 66,000 Sq. Yds. Milling Existing Asphalt or Removing Pulverized Material 4,000 Sq. Yds. Traffic Control 1 LS Asphaltic Flume 1 EA The project is expected to begin on or after June 21, 2022, and shall be substantially completed by August 19, 2022, and shall be fully completed by August 26, 2022. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. Bid Bond (Required) - No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to five (5%) percent of the bid, payable to Washington County Treasurer, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the successful bidder will execute and file the contract within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract. If you are submitting a 5% certified check in lieu of the bid bond, include a completed and signed copy of your firm's current W-9 Form with your sealed bid. In case the bidder fails to file such contract, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited and become the property of Washington County. Failure to submit the required bid security as part of the firm's sealed bid will result in immediate rejection of the firm's bid. The accepted bidder will also be required, as a condition precedent to award of contract, to furnish in the amount of 100% of the contract price, satisfactory Performance & Payment Bonds and Certificate of Insurance. All bidders will need to complete and submit a Bidderis Statement of Qualifications no later than 5 days prior to the bid opening date or be listed on the current Wisconsin Department of Transportation Prequalified Contractor list in order to be qualified with Washington County for this work. The Bidder's Statement of Qualifications Form is included in the bid document for this project. Bids shall be prepared in accordance with contract documents and associated plans prepared for this project by Washington County. Award made for this project will be to a single prime contractor and partial bids will not be accepted. Washington County reserves the right to waive any informalities or technicalities and to reject any and all bids or parts thereof deemed to be unsatisfactory or not in the Countyis best interest. Furthermore, Washington County reserves the right to cancel any order or contract for failure of the successful bidder to comply with the terms, conditions and specifications of the bid request and/or contract. Washington County reserves the right to award the bid in the aggregate or by item or like item groups (where applicable) to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder who complies with the specifications, service and can meet the requirements of this request.
