Description | Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract are invited for the following work: DEFERRED MAINTENANCE FY21-22 YOUNG HALL ROOF RENOVATION Project Number 6676185 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Contractor shall remove and replace the roof of Young Hall building as specified in the plans and specs. New roof to be a single-ply membrane installation under existing mechanical equipment. NOTE: A bid submitted online using the "Submit Bid" tab must also be deposited at the designated physical location identified on the Advertisement for Bids within 24 hours after the Bid Deadline. Mandatory Site Visit: The mandatory Job Walk will be conducted at the project site and shall begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. Participants shall meet at Room 3037, 607 Charles E Young Drive East, Los Angeles, CA at or before 1:00 p.m. Persons arriving later than said time will not be allowed to bid on the Project as prime contractors. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid:C-39 License (Roofing) PREQUALIFICATION: To be allowed to submit a bid, Bidders must have the minimum experience set forth in the Prequalification Questionnaire contained in the Bidding Documents and posted on the UCLA Online Planroom website. Bidder's completed Prequalification Questionnaire must be received at the above-listed University Contracts Administration office in a sealed envelope, or uploaded to the UCLA Online Planroom website, no later than: 3:00 p.m., August 8, 2023 Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. In addition, the University is committed to promoting and increasing participation of small business enterprises (SBEs) and disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs) relating to all goods and services covered under the awarded agreement, subject to any and all applicable obligations under state and federal law, and University policies.
