Description | Colorado Parks and Wildlife is accepting sealed bids for salvaging an existing bridge at Highline and replacing it with a new, wider one. The salvaged bridge will be staged on a Parks property under the base bid, or installed at Sylvan under the optional bid. Bidders may not automatically be notified of the existence of modification or addendum. It is the responsibility of the bidder to check the VSS website periodically to see if any modifications have been issued. Failure to retrieve such modifications and include their provisions in your bid response may result in your bid being deemed non-responsive.Plans, specifications and bid information can be obtained at through electronic . At the opening web page, login if you are a registered user of VSS. If you are not registered, you can click on the Public Access button on the lower left side of the page. You will be redirected to the Solicitations web page. Type in High line in the Keyword Search box at the top of the page. Be sure to include the asterisks. The project is named High line and Sylvan Bridges. Project bidding information is available on the Details tab, by downloading from the Attachments tab. The following is a tentative project schedule, which will be revised and expanded by the selected Contractor and submitted to the Project Manager for review: Optional Written Questions Due October 13, 2022 at 10:00 am Must be sent by e-mail to mike.havens@state.co.us. All questions and answers will be posted on VSS. The project consists of salvaging an existing bridge at Highline and replacing it with a new, wider one. The salvaged bridge will be staged on a Parks property under the base bid, or installed at Sylvan under the optional bid RMHI/RMSV Bridges There is an existing pre-engineered steel pedestrian bridge at Highline Lake. It is 4 feet wide and 80 feet long, and consists of two 40 foot sections bolted together in the middle. It will be removed and relocated to Corn Lake for storage under the base bid, or reinstalled at Sylvan Lake if the optional bid items are approved. A new pre-engineered steel pedestrian bridge will be installed at the same location at Highline Lake. It will be 6 feet wide and 80 feet long. The Contractor shall be responsible for procuring the new bridge meeting the project specifications. The work shall include all associated components, including demolition, fabrication and installation of new precast concrete abutments, transportation, and site restoration. The intention of this project is to proceed with bridge and abutment fabrication over the winter, and install the bridge or bridges in the spring. |
