Suction Valve Replacement - Primary Clarifier # 1

Contractor shall furnish and install all materials, equipment and labor necessary to complete the following: 1. Secure insurances and return signed documents to the satisfaction of the Authority. 2. Coordinate work schedule with the Authority. Contractor may stage equipment at sight prior to commencing work. 3. Remove existing Valve Actuator Pedestal's for the Suction Valve and Drain Valve. 4. Demo Existing 3'-0" x 3'-0" x 7" Concrete Pad's for the Suction Valve and Drain Valve. 5. Excavate down to existing 6" Suction Valve. Sheet and shore as necessary to expose the valve and mechanical joints. Depth below grade is approximately 10'. 6. Dewater area as required to perform work. 7. Replace existing 6" Dezurik Suction Valve PEC,6,MJ,CI,NBR,CR, with new valve of the same type and 12" MJ compression sleeve. Materials provided bv OCUA. 8. Install & Compact Crushed blue stone bedding around new 6" valve. 9. Install existing valve box/riser's and valve stem actuator extension's for the Suction Valve and Drain Valve. 10. Backfill & Compact excavated hole. 11. Form & Pour new 3' -O" x 3'-0" x 7" Concrete Pad's for the Suction Valve and Drain Valve. 12. Reinstall existing Suction Valve & Drain Valve Actuator Pedestal's.
