Description

Proposals must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or bid bond is acceptable to the City in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal. Checks are to be made payable to the City of Derby and drawn on a solvent Kansas Bank or Trust Company. These checks or bonds are to be retained by the City Clerk until the contract for the project shall have been awarded. The project is briefly described as follows. The Bidding Documents consisting of the drawings and project manual may be examined and obtained from Drexel Technologies at Additionally, Bidding Documents may be picked up at Drexel Technologies on a CD or downloaded electronically. See the Drexel Technologies website for pricing. Drexel Technologies will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through Drexel Technologies. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than Drexel Technologies. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246. Requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. Derby Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements - Phase 1: Installation of new manhole and influent flow meters; influent pump station upgrades; headworks screening and grit equipment replacement; electrical equipment replacement; odor control piping and in-ground biofilter; electrical building; site improvements.
