Description | **As of November 15, 2019, no bids received. No decision made yet for the rebid.** Work to be performed comprises the following: 1. Emlen Tunnell Park: installation of comfort station, site work associated with comfort station installation, utility work associated with comfort station installation, mill and overlay where depicted on the drawings, asphalt trail relocation, and other ancillary work. 2. Provide without additional compensation, any apparatus, material and labor not specifically mentioned in specifications or indicated on Drawings, that is necessary to complete or perfect any portion of work in a substantial manner and in compliance with requirements implied or intended in these Contract Documents. This includes materials, devices or methods peculiar to the apparatus or system provided as well as any material and labor to fully restore construction areas to pre-construction conditions. 3. See General Limitations, Product & Supply Exclusions, and Service Exclusions included immediately following this specification as well as within Appendix 1 - Romtec Scope of Supply and Design Submittal for Emlen Tunnell Park Restroom for all limitations and exclusions associated with the construction of the Romtec comfort station. A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid is required. Bid security shall be in the form of either a Bond issued by a corporate surety approved by the Secretary of Insurance to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or a certified check or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Township Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, for any cause permitted by law, as it deems in the best interest of the Township. The standard under which bids will be evaluated and other bid requirements and instructions to bidders are included in the bid package. Surety Bonds The successful bidder must supply a performance bond and payment bond from firm(s) qualified to issue bonds in Pennsylvania, equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount for the term of the award within fourteen (14) days of the bid award. A separate maintenance bond in an amount equal to twenty five (25%) of the final contract price, including all extra work, will be submitted upon completion of all work along with the Contractors Release and the request for final payment. The maintenance bond is to continue for a period of one (1) year after the date of written completion, approval and acceptance of the entire work by the Township Questions must be submitted on or before 11/08/2019 4:00 PM . |
