Repair Buildings A-51 and A-52, Naval Station Norfolk

PROPOSED TASK ORDER #N4008521R0116 - Repair Buildings A-51 and A-52, Naval Station Norfolk: Small-Business Design - Build (DB)/Design-Bid Build (DBB), Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for New Construction, Renovation, Alteration and Repairs for General Construction Projects in the Hampton Roads Area of Responsibility (AOR). All terms and conditions of N40085-18-D-1124/1125/1126/1127/1128 Indefinite Delivery Quantity Contract apply to this solicitation. Work includes repairs and renovations to NGIS buildings A-51 (Perry Hall) and A-52 (Truxton Hall). The buildings were constructed in 1943 and are two-story wood frame structures with brick veneer walls. Each building is 27,224 SF. The floors are wood frame along with the roof structure, which is covered with slate shingles. The existing windows are dark bronze, single-hung aluminum windows with 1” insulated glass sash. Interior renovations will include upgrading the floor, wall and ceiling finishes, kitchens, bathrooms and common spaces, the installation of an elevator in each building, and all incidental related work. An elevator is to be installed in each building. Exterior renovations include upgrading window and doors, replacement of slate shingle roof, and all incidental related work. Window and doors shall have ATFP compliant glazing. The slate shingle roof shall be replaced with architectural asphalt shingles. Repair to code the buildings electrical system, HVAC systems, fire protection systems, and update plumbing systems. Electrical system work includes replacing interior lighting throughout the buildings. HVAC system work includes replacing existing fan coil units throughout the buildings. Fire Protection system work includes replacing the fire alarm systems and existing building sprinkler systems. Plumbing system work includes replacing fixtures and piping. Fixtures to be replaced include toilets, tubs, sinks, lavatories, water coolers, and washing machines.
