Description

Q&A Deadline: Monday, 5/22 @ 4:00 PM MDT The University of New Mexico (UNM or the University) will be accepting Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) Construction Delivery Services qualification statements from licensed and experienced construction firms interested in providing CMAR services for the Center for Collaborative Arts and Technology at the University of New Mexico. The first step in the (CMAR) solicitation and award process is completing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ). No additional information beyond a firm's qualification to perform as (CMAR) is required at this time. Submittals shall be in accordance with "Evaluation and Information for Qualifications and Selection Criteria" document may be located under Buyer Attachments. A Selection Committee will review each respondent's Statement of Qualifications received in response to this RFQ to determine compliance with the minimum qualifications. The second step, utilizing the criteria set forth in "Evaluation and Information for Qualifications and Selection Criteria" the Selection Committee will evaluate the Statements of Qualifications from the Respondents and identify the most qualified Respondents who will then be sent a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Fees. At that time, the Selection Committee will evaluate the RFP submittals and conduct interviews(Step 3) with the highest ranked Respondents. After conducting interviews and after considering the factors listed in "Evaluation and Information for Qualifications and Selection Criteria", the Selection Committee shall rank the Respondents and recommend one firm for selection that it feels would be most beneficial to UNM. Minimum Qualifications The minimum qualifications for the CMAR Contractor: A. A contractor's license for the type of work to be performed, issued pursuant to the Construction Industries Licensing Act; B. Registration pursuant to Section 13-4-13.1 NMSA 1978; and C. A minimum bonding capacity sufficient to bond the entire project value. D. Additional qualifications are described in "Evaluation and Information for Qualifications and Selection Criteria". Project Information: Located on the eastern half of UNM's Parking Lot "A," bordered by Princeton Drive to the east, Central Avenue to the South, and Redondo Drive to the North, the project will include exhibition spaces, theatre and music rehearsal spaces, and a large music concert hall. The project is phase 1 of 2 phases and will include approximately 62,000 GSF. Phase 1 will include a proscenium theater and stage-level support spaces making up the ground level. Essential to the project is the physical and visual connection from exterior to interior spaces. UNM envisions the performances, events, and daily activities of students, faculty, and connection of the community will animate the street, create new vibrancy along Central Avenue, and showcase the talents of the CFA to the public The project will also include outdoor space to be used as a performance space and as spillover space during large performances, flexible indoor performance and gallery spaces, a new home to the CFA's Art, Research, Technology & Science Lab (ARTSLab), space for the growing Film and Digital Arts department, and informal spaces for collaboration and gathering. The Project must obtain a LEED Silver V.4 certification and meet or exceed all State requirements BUDGET: The Total Project Budget, including all hard and soft costs, is $67,400,000. The estimated Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for this Project is currently budgeted at $47,200,00 which Preconstruction Services, CMAR Contractor Fee, General Conditions, MACC, NMGRT & Contingency. This Project will utilize the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) construction delivery method.
