Description | This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Topeka, Kansas. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information. Liquid Aluminum Sulfate is used for coagulation. This will be used at the Water Treatment Plant, 3245 NW Waterworks Drive. The contract covers the time period of July 1, 2022-June 30, 2023 Q And A Open4/20/2022 6:31:00 PM Q And A Close5/16/2022 10:30:00 PM The estimated quantity is 350 tons (on a dry ton basis) for the twelve (12) month supply. The quantity listed is an estimated supply only and the City reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity. CHEMICAL COMPOSITION The Liquid Alum shall be relatively clear, stable solution that contains approximately 50 percent by weight dry aluminum sulfate. Delivered product shall not contain any mineral or organic substance in which quantities would cause the treated water to exceed any drinking water regulations when added to the water at a maximum amount of 50 milligrams per liter. It shall not contain any other substances in quantities capable of producing deleterious or injurious effects upon the health of those who consume this water. The Liquid Alum will be for use in the treatment of a municipal water supply. The product shall conform to all American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standards as set forth in AWWA B403-09 or current provision. The product shall be National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) certified as a drinking water additive. The award shall be based on which responsive and responsible vendor supplies the product closest to each item description at the lowest price. The City has the final say as to which products come the closest to the items described. The City of Topeka reserves the right to award the bid to one or more vendors by line item. Bidders are responsible for providing sufficient information to evaluate all items including texture, density, and composition. The award will be made by line. The contract(s) awarded from this bid shall become effective on the date of signature by both parties and shall remain in effect for one (1) year. Prices quoted shall remain firm for the duration of the contract. The City reserves the right to award to more than one bidder (primary supplier and secondary supplier) to insure an uninterrupted supply of product. In addition to indicating the bid for supplying Liquid Aluminum Sulfate on the Bid Form furnished with this set of specifications, the bidder shall submit the following: a. Company name b. Company's identification name of product c. Manufacturer's name d. Proposed shipping location e. Price per ton f. Total delivered price per ton. |
