Description | ELECTRONIC bids will be received by the South Jersey Transportation Authority for: ATLANTIC CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ACY) 2022 AIRFIELD ELECTRICAL REHABILITATION PROJECT The project includes the rehabilitation of the airfield lighting series circuit homerun conductors, which have reached the end of their rated life. The conductors megohmmeter readings are poor which is an indication that the cable insulation and splices are deteriorating. The SJTA has initiated a program to replace ACY airfield lighting circuit homerun conductors with new FAA approved L-824 Type C cable. The installation methods used will be done in a manner to minimize impact on airport lighting and operations. This work is to be bid as follows: Pursuant to certain specifications prepared by the South Jersey Transpor-tation Authority, Department of Engineering. **Important Note: The South Jersey Transportation Authority will only accept electronic bid submissions through the Bid Express electronic bidding portal. If you are not already registered for electronic submissions, please visit website in order to bid with the Authority. To subscribe, follow the directions on the website. The fee schedule is available, and all fees are payable to Bid Express. Any emailed, mailed or physical bids delivered to the Authority will not be accepted and/or will be returned to the bidder unopened. Specifications and Bid Documents are through Bid Express. A Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the TOTAL BID PRICE but not to exceed $20,000.00, is required to accompany all bid submissions. The Authority, in accordance with law, reserves the right to reject any or all bids either in whole or in part and also to waive any minor informality in any bid or bids so received. In order to bid this project, the bidder shall be pre-qualified under at least one (1) of the following NJDPMC Trade Code(s) or NJDOT Class Code at the time of submission: NJDPMC Trade Code C008 General Construction NJDPMC Trade Code C009 General Construction / Alterations & Additions NJDPMC Trade Code C047 Electrical NJDOT Class Code 7 Electrical In addition to the bidder prequalification, any subcontractor performing work on the project shall be pre-qualified, as applicable, under the following NJDPMC Trade Code or NJDOT Class Code at the time of submission: NJDOT Class Code 7 - Electrical* NJDPMC Trade Code C047 Electrical* *To be declared on the Subcontractor Declaration on Bid Express. The Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
