DDWG Bldg. 376 Receiving Conveyor System Guarding Project

This project is a follow on project to the conveyor fencing project awarded to UNICOR in Sep 20. OSHA made a site visit in Jan 20 wrote up safety deficiencies on subject conveyor system. They determined that the two TGW Ermanco NBS sorters, the two push-offs and perimeter guarding around the eight pallet build stations. This Statement of work covers the purchase and installation of emergency pull cords around the perimeter of the main transportation line between the inspection and shipping accumulation (Bays J-N 8) and the shipping accumulation lines (Bays I-J 8-10), the building 641 out-load loop (Bays K-L 10) and retrofit of the pallet stacker (Bay I-8) for Reusable Bulk Containers (RBCs), purchase of 100 RBCs for the eight pallet build stations in Bays I 9-10. All materials, and accessories furnished shall make the rack systems that are damaged complete, and of a quality necessary to maintain safe package, pallet and cantilever racks capable of meeting the requirements.
