Description

Replace dual strobic fan components of existing HVAC system to assure labs in Building 17 meet USDA safety requirements for one-pass air and also assure proper airflow in chemical safety hoods in those labs. Provide units in compliance with ARS 242-01M (2012 version) that have sufficient capacity to allow each single fan to independently provide all necessary ventilation and airflow, and thus provide redundancy via the dual fan system. Assure that units are fully integrated into the existing Trane HVAC system including being controlled and monitored by the Trane Synchrony BAS software which operates the rest of the IPRL HVAC system. Provide a Test & Balance of the system at completion of the project, including certified testing of the fume hoods, to assure the new system achieves or exceeds USDA requirements. This scope will include the following elements: - Obtain engineering design and plans - Obtain required city permits - Order engineer selected equipment - Deliver equipment to the customers site - Lock out and tag out exhaust fan - Disconnect electrical - Disconnect duct - Disconnect from support - Remove old exhaust fan via crane - Install new supports - Install new fan via crane - Secure unit - Retrofit duct to fit new fan - Install two Frequency drives - Reconnect electrical - Place units in service - Perform factory start up - Check operation of units - Perform test and balance - Remove old units from premises - Clean up work areas - Close permit - All applicable taxes and insurance - Disposal of existing unit
