Description | The construction of new pavement and a roundabout between Heather Glenn and Pembrook. This work includes ADA ramps, sidewalk, curb and gutter construction, driveway construction, storm work, and all other miscellaneous work required for completion of the project. General site grading as required to construct approximately 3,700 feet of roadway and adjacent sidewalk connecting segments of Truman Blvd and Norton Rd including relocation of the existing roadway alignment at some locations and associated stormwater infrastructure. This proposed work is being let as a combination bid with PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR WATERLINE AND ELECTRICAL EXTENSION. Both projects must be bid on in combination to be considered as a responsive bid.All bidders must be on MoDOTs Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, 2011 Edition including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening. A certified or cashiers check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal. The DBE Goal for this project is 7% .Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) calendar days of beginning work on the construction project. No matter what date the contractor chooses to begin the project, the project must be completed on or before June 16, 2023. The City of Nixa hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.The City of Nixa reserves the right to reject any or all bids. |
