Description

The project limit is the length of Union Avenue approximately between Main Street and Birch Street, in the Borough of Bloomingdale, Passaic County, New Jersey. The project length is approximately 1,741 linear feet (0.33 miles). The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: removal and replacement of concrete curbs; removal and replacement of Portland cement concrete sidewalks, aprons, and ADA ramps; resetting of inlets with new heavy duty castings; patching of asphalt at all aprons; tree and stump removal; replacement of traffic control signs; and, traffic striping. The main items of construction and approximate quantities include, but are not necessarily limited to: 950 square yards of (4`) foot wide Portland cement concrete sidewalks, four (4") inches thick; 370 square yards Portland cement concrete driveway aprons and ADA ramps, six (6") thick with reinforcement; installation of 19 square yards of cast-iron ADA detectable warning surfaces; resetting of seven (7) Type A and B inlets with new castings; and, replacement of 2,700 linear feet of concrete curb. This project is partially funded by a Federal Community Development Block Grant. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract.
