Description

Florida Certified Pollutant Storage System Contractors (PSSC) who are also FUELMASTER and Veeder-Root distributors for the phased upgrading of various parts of the City’s Fuel Depot located at the Wastewater Reclamation Facility (WWRF) at 139000 Pembroke Road, Miramar, FL 33027. The Project consist of the renovation of the fuel site in three phases (Phase 1, 2 and 3). Phase 1: The Work consists of renovating and repairing two (2) submersible turbine pumps (STP) sumps associated with underground storage tank (UST) No. 1 (gasoline) and UST No. 2 (diesel) to prevent water intrusion from below and above when the site is submerged. The work shall include saw cutting the concrete slabs to remove and replace the two (2) top hats of the sumps, then install thumb crew locking watertight sump lids, skirts, ductile manway covers, fiberglass entry boots, and test boots. All current corroded pipes and fittings, and electrical piping and connections inside the sumps must be replaced and coated with rust inhibitor. The two (2) existing STPs must be replaced with new supplied material by the Successful Bidder. The two (2) Veeder-Root probes and float kits must be replaced with new supplied material by the Successful Bidder. Recast the concrete slabs using 4,000 PSI reinforced concrete and ensure no overcut is present. Raise manway rim by three inches (3”) or more to mitigate against high surface water levels. Perform sump hydrostatic tests and provide passing result. Reprogram Veeder-Root probes to the existing Veeder-Root console and ensure proper operation with the FUELMASTER. Phase 2: The Work consists of disconnecting one (1) existing dispenser (Hose No. 1 and No. 2) from FUELMASTER and remove it from the Under Dispenser Containment (UDC) system, break concrete and remove existing shallow metal UDC, install and rebuild new non-corrosive UDCs, re-pipe and reseal, perform hydrostatic tests, and provide passing reports. Supply one (1) new single-product, dual hose, GASBOY dispenser with filters and install in the UDC, rewire, and reprogram to the FUELMASTER. Phase 3: The Work consists of disconnecting one (1) existing dispenser (Hose No. 3 and No. 4) from FUELMASTER and remove it from the Under Dispenser Containment (UDC) system, break concrete and remove existing shallow metal UDC, install and rebuild new non-corrosive UDCs, re-pipe and reseal, perform hydrostatic tests, and provide passing reports. Supply one (1) new single-product, dual hose, GASBOY dispenser with filters and install in the UDC, rewire, and reprogram to the FUELMASTER.
